Your songs deserve to be heard

Music production, arrangement and mixing with Toby Newcombe

You’ve written songs you believe in. Now you want recordings that capture what makes them yours.

Perhaps you’ve got a voice memo, a guitar-and-vocal demo, or a collection of unfinished recordings. You can hear the potential, but getting from there to a finished track can feel daunting.

I’ll help you bring it together – developing the arrangements, recording the performances and creating a finished mix you’re proud to share.

You bring the songs. We build the sound together

You don’t need to arrive with every instrument part planned or all the musical language to explain what you want.

We’ll start by listening: to your songs, your influences and your ideas. Then we’ll explore what each track needs, whether that’s a simple, intimate arrangement or a full band sound.

A good recording should capture the character of your music – the groove, the personality and the feeling behind the words.

My approach is collaborative. You’ll have someone to discuss ideas with, try different approaches with, and help you make decisions when you’re too close to a song to know what it needs.

Throughout the process, your music stays at the centre.

From an early demo to a finished record.

I can help with:

● Arrangement: shaping the structure, dynamics and instrumental parts.

● Recording and production: capturing your performances and building the sound around them.

● Additional instruments: adding guitar, bass, keys and percussion where they suit the song.

● Mixing: bringing your recordings together into a clear, balanced and engaging finished mix.

Whether you’re working on one song, an EP or an album, we’ll agree on an approach and a clear price before work begins.

Neil came to me as a complete beginner and wanted to learn this song for his wedding day. This is the video we made as a wedding gift for his new wife

This video was recorded for Jon who has been having lessons with me and wanted to record himself playing this song
